Владивосто Facts!

Vladivostok (spelled Владивосто in Russian) is Russia's largest port city on the Pacific Ocean and the administrative center of Primorsky Krai.

The city's population is around 600,000. Ethnic Russians and Ukrainians make up the majority of the population.

The city's main industries are shipping, commercial fishing, and the naval base.

The Trans-Siberian Railway was built to connect European Russia with Vladivostok, Russia's most important Pacific Ocean port.

Vladivostok is a sister-city of Honolulu, San Diego and San Francisco.

Where is Vladivostok?

Dear Family and Friends,

Please share with us our journey of expanding our family through adoption. We have been working hard since last summer to move forward with our plan to adopt a child from Russia. We have completed our homestudy, been approved for our adoption Visa (I-171H) and our dossier has been submitted in the region of Vladivostok (Primorsky Krai).

Our homestudy agency was truly wonderful (http://harmony.cc/). The adoption agency we are working with to complete the process
(http://www.wacap.org/) has been equally as wonderful. We have been fortunate to work with both of these agencies.

As more information becomes available, we will keep everyone up to date. Thank you for sharing this journey with us!
