Dock dog outing

This weekend we went to see a Dock Dogs competition. We are working on being kind to our pets, and Bill had promised Jackson if he had a good week - we would go see the dogs jump off the dock. In true Jack fashion - he kept up his end of the deal. We saw some pretty cool dogs! The furthest jump was over 20' off the dock. I am not sure who enjoyed it more, the dogs or Jackson! There was also a cutest dog contest, where a Boston Terrier with sunglasses won.

When we got home, Bill and Jackson played hockey in the back yard. This boy loves Hockey! It is the one activity that can keep his attention for long periods of time. Of course, if vacuuming were a sport - that would come in as a close 2nd.

Happy Easter!

We have had a really nice Easter weekend. Jackson actually enjoyed meeting the Easter Bunny and Elmo at our local petting zoo. We had the traditional Easter egg hunt, pony ride and hay ride! We also washed the cars in the driveway, which was also a big hit! Happy Easter everyone!

Spring Break

Papa and Jackson (and monkey) at the Hockey game (below). Nana and Papa were nice enough to come down for a week and watch Jackson while his school was out on spring break. He had a good time, and we appreciate the free babysitting! Thankfully, Nana has a lot of energy! They ran, and golfed, and played hockey, and blew bubbles, and went to the park, and went to the beach, and played with play doh, and dyed eggs, and colored, and repeat...repeat...repeat.

spring program 4/20/11 at OneTrueMedia.com

Last Friday was Jackson's Spring Program at school. On the 1st photo he is the last guy on the right on the front row. On the 2nd and 3rd photo he is on the front row, 6th kiddo down from the left (blue plaid shirt).
Overall, he was overwhelmed by all the parents taking pictures and all the action. He had a look of terror on his face before he started to cry. I felt so sorry for him I almost started crying too! He spotted me off to the side and I think that added to the confusion. A new experience + a new school = some stage fright.
Nana and Papa are here this week helping out while Jackson is on spring break. We are very thankful they are here.
