Thanksgiving 2011

This year we went up to Nana and Papa's for Thanksgiving. Jackson had been looking forward to it for a long time. We drove up on Thursday morning and drove home Saturday afternoon. We were able to spend time with Nana, Papa, Aunt Carolyn, Uncle Jeff and Cousin Emily.

Skyping with Uncle Scott, Aunt Chris and cousins Megan, Katie and Amanda.
Making a ginger house tree with Nana, Papa and Cousin Emily.

Outside eating ice cream at a neat little grocery store in Delaware.

The grocery store had a playground out front.

Christmas Parade

Last night we went to a Christmas Parade just a few miles from our home. We weren't sure if we were going to make it, but glad we did.

I threw this first photo in because it was too cute to resist.

The boys watching football a few nights ago.
Start of the parade. Isn't that a cheesy smile?

Waiting for Santa, he was dancing here. Elmo and Sponge Bob had just shown up.

Petting the Golden Retriever rescue dogs. These dogs were awesome.

Waving at Santa!!

Yelling at Santa "bring me a tractor"!

We will probably try to go see Santa again so he can tell him in person that he would like a tractor (instead of screaming it at him in a parade). Last year he was excited until he got close to him!

"WHY"

Well, it's official. "WHY" is now a typical (and constant) question in our house.

Daddy -I am going to work tomorrow

Jackson - Why

Daddy - Because I have to work to get paid

Jackson - Why

Daddy -So I can buy you stuff and pay bills

Jackson - Why

Daddy -Because I love you

Jackson - Why

Daddy -Because I love you a lot

Jackson - Why

Daddy - Because I love you!

Jackson - OHHH

We are up to about 5 "why's" now!

We finally received Jackson's latest school photos that were taken in September. Handsome guy, don't you agree?!!!

Everyone have a happy Thanksgiving and safe travels.

Veteran's Day Parade

Jackson loves parades, and he loves the Veteran's Day Parade. This year it was so cold! He told me he liked the "drummers" and the "guys" in the parade. I asked what he liked the best, and he said the "candy".

Tonight, we were looking at John Deere Tractors online. Jackson immediately went and made a special call to Santa on his (play) cell phone. Bill and I overheard "Santa, me like tractor, please buy it". Looks like he must have Santa's personal phone #! Needless to say, Santa got online and bought it already.

Feather for Papa

Here is a photo from this morning at Jackson's school. This is the turkey that his teacher made and had all the kids decorate a feather at home with their parents. Of course, if you see a feather with a ball - that's my boy's feather!
Anyway, he wanted to add a Flyers Hockey player for Papa since he had surgery last week. Just so happens, Papa came home from the hospital today and is doing well. Perhaps the turkey feather did the job???

Sick Boy

Bill and I took Jack in Saturday morning for a flu shot. I know that the flu shot isn't supposed to make you sick, but that night he was throwing up. Poor kiddo is finally feeling better, and did a good job of making it to the potty!

We started the U.S. re-finalization process a couple weeks ago with a local Attorney. I kept thinking that I would do it myself, but have yet to complete the task. The Attorneys office was easy to deal with, and it is already filed with the court. Now the court has to request paperwork from the post-placement agency, so we are just waiting for the paperwork to be pushed through. The court requires original paperwork, which makes me a nervous wreck. The original documents are like gold and it would be awful if they were misplaced.

A few weeks ago Jackson started wearing big boy undies at school full time. He had a couple accidents the first day or two, but none since. He was in big boy undies full time at home, and has been for close to a year. However, his school is 'busy', and last years teacher wasn't too interested in anything other than a pull up. This year his teacher is pretty good, we both really like her. Now he will just wear a pull up at night, although he usually wakes up dry! My baby is growing up!!

I am traveling this week, and feel fairly homesick for some reason. I usually just keep myself busy but leaving Jackson when he was sick really bothered me. Of course, he is in excellent hands with Daddy - even though they eat cereal in bed and watch too much football!

Halloween is over, but the photos aren't!

Jackson had a Halloween show at school, and of course he was a sock monkey! He did pretty well, but isn't a huge fan of being on stage in front of about 200 people (that are shoved in a tiny room that is better suited for 50 people).

He is walking down the hall, and doesn't know a parent is spying on him.
Want some fries with that shake?

Looking for Daddy in the audience

Found him! HI DADDY!

On the way to school that day, someone was cranky.

Halloween night. Poor Copper puts up with so much.

A very tired sock monkey after a long day of school, no nap, soccer and trick or treating.

My boys are cute. Check out Coppers new hairdo.

Jackson and monkey rode in the wagon most of the night.
